MURATIE PORT STOMPING FESTIVAL

Come and 'stomp' the new port grapes for Muratie Wine Estate's 2009 Vintage Port, while enjoying the sound of South African big band jazz with the Hanepoot Big Band on Saturday, March 21.

You will be able to stomp the grapes for this year's Port, and reserve your own bottle of port.

And while you're at it, try some of Muratie's delectable Muscat D'Alexandrie 'Amber Forever 2008' (otherwise known as ... ... ... "Hanepoot"!)

Muratie premium wines, pure beef Chuck Norris burgers and delicious cheese planks will be on sale.

Here's the Big Band at Muratie Port Stomp 2008:

As always, we will be presenting our all-South African programme of big band jazz, including several compositions by Douglas Armstrong and Merton Barrow, and arrangements of tunes by Errol Dyers, Dudu Pukwana and Zakes Nkosi, and a new arrangement of another Marabi gem by legendary composer Zakes Nkosi, called "Jackpot".

The 'Stomp' will start at 16h00, entrance is R50 per person. Booking is essential on (021) 865-2330/6.

The Muratie Wine Estate is on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Klapmuts. A map with directions to the venue is at the bottom of this newsletter.
